Does that mean that R1s are popular, or common?

What-in-the-£"$^"£"$_HELL is wrong with wanting a bike that looks good as well as one that goes?
This "tart" business is beginning to get on my nerves now. IT seems some people would rather us live in a land of CB500's and ER5's . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

Lol, yeah i agree up to a point. Im definitely not a tart, if I were to buy for example a Sports 600 i would go for the CBR, a liter bike I would go for the blade, or quite possibly the R1 but never ruling out the Suzuki. Its just the bike which people say rides the best/is the best.
Thankfully i do not want a new bike at the moment, but if i did i would choose one that would ride really well. It just so happens that all the new sports bikes look really nice. As form follows function its no suprise they do.
I like sportbikes, for the peformance and the handling etc, so thats why i buy one. Its not my fault they look nice as well... its the way they are
Others may just go on looks, so i guess it just comes down to ones prerogatives. Its not right to name everyone who buys one of those tarts, or indeed name the bikes tarty...
Those bling choppers are tarts bikes |

I bought the NSR chiefly because It looks good. Looks are what grabbed me, I'd not had the opportunity to ride one before I bought it. At the end of the day, I perceive the appearance of my bike as being directly linked with that "pride in your appearance" thing.
I ride around on a clean shiny NSR rather than a scruffy rusty one, because I take pride in myself. As the adverts say, why do I want to ride round on a sparkly shiny good looking bike? Because I'm worth it .
I get just as much pleasure with the NSR, because when I'm not riding it, I'm cleaning it to make it look better, and that makes me happy too . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

Oh god, more chavs chasing the trend buying NRGS!!!! , i wish not that many people bought the CBR125 prior to the summer break, cos i'd be riding one now instead of an XR! ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
