Right I have just got my hands on a 99 mito for a project and I need some spares I need right mirror (glass fell out Confused ) A decent expansion chamber would be nice (it's got arrow can and carbon reed valves) front brake master cylinder and a manual if anyone has got one they don't need leave a msg CHEERS Also does anyone know if the piston is ment to be flat because I have stripped the engine and found a flat top piston Confused I thought they was for high compression and it's only got 1 piston ring

As standard I believe they have 2 rings like the rs125 so someone has probably fitted an aftermarket piston. The single ring will probably give a very slight increase in performance but not last as long.

Think the one uses a flat head one ring piston
the other uses a domed head with 2 rings.

Both are intercahngeable on all models.

I had a cagiva supercity (same engine), the hole is meant to be at the top off the conrod as it was on my supercity too, my supercity used the dome top piston with 2 rings, newer mito's use the flat top piston with a single ring. I was told by a tuner that the dome top with 2 rings gives more compression than the flat top with single ring.
