Flick the lever away from the bars, leave bleed nipples/s open or remove the pipe from master until fluid makes its way through, once it does reattach pipe and let fluid make way down pipe, bleed

Works for me

I’m in the same position. I’ve just rebuilt my callipers and bought new HEL hoses.

I was planning to try filling the system from the bottom up using a large syringe attached to the bleed nipple by plastic tubing. Once full I’ll then bleed through as normal.

If you are certain the system is full, yet you still cant get the brakes to bite take the master cylinder off and angle it so all the air rises into the reservoir.

Blasted m/c airlocks are sooooo easily over looked.

Run a length of hose from the bleed nipple to a funnel or suitable bottle with the bottom cut out. Have the funnel/bottle at the level of the reservoir, and fill from there until fluid starts to fill the master.

Avoids having to spend loads of time bleedong the breaks.

Fill from top, attach a piece of clear pipe to bleed nipple, suck on pipe.

Health and safety warning: don't drink the brake fluid or bad things may happen.

If you can't find a big enough syringe, use a trigger type oil can instead.

A decent length of clear PVC tubing and a 100ml syringe can be had off Ebay for a very small handful of the Queen's coin.

I originally bought my syringe for measuring fork oil.
