Update....
I tried starting it this morning and it started with no problem at all. I guess i did flood the engine, but leaving it over night without touching it solves the problem.
BUT.... now i have another problem...
The attached photo, i have circled in yellow the area that I'm having problems with.
Just right below the circled area, on the ground, i noticed there is a QUARTER size black liquid present after being left over night.
Does anyone know what that might be?
sigh, i spent $1400 on this and im troubles already. ____________________ Chi L |

Once again, i have problems again.
2001 RIEJU RS1
So i took my bike out around 7:30pm today. It was flaming hot today hence i took it out later in the day.
Every time i come to a stop sign or light and have the bike on Neutral, the bike dies after 5-10 seconds sitting there waiting for it to go green.
(we took a break from 8:45-9:05 and stopped by a friends place, then took off around 9:08)
Then around 9:18pm when i started riding again, when my bike is in gear and accelerating, my bike totally shut down. The bike wouldn't start. Let it sit for a good 5 minutes, started it up by giving it a little throttle, BUT COULDN'T stay running.
Since WE are in the middle of nowhere, the only way to get it back to my house was to keep giving it throttle. On a long run down the street, the bike seems to be fine, but once i decelerate, it start to feel that its going to die, so i kept giving it some throttle and kept doing that until i got home. (DIED TWICE AT A LIGHT)
This is what i noticed:
When it died the first time, the fuel light started blinking.
(Yes i do have fuel in the tank, just filled it up a day ago, but could it be that I bought regular fuel from BP?)
The motor itself is hot.
The Radiator is extremely hot. (Yes there is coolant in there, but never changed it when i bought it a week ago)
THE ONLY THINGS I'VE DONE TO IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT HOME IS CHANGED THE SPARK PLUG, CLEANED THE CARBURETOR AND ADDED SOME REGULAR FUEL FROM BP.
Can someone tell me what should i do besides getting rid of it?
THANKS IN ADVANCE! ____________________ Chi L |

I have an rieju Rs2 matrix sitting in my garden, was supposed to rebuild it for my girlfriend, but she lost interest when she lost a nail. and i decided i might as well fix it up and sell it for another new bike...... Anyway, i used it for about 2 years as a run about commuter, and never had a single problem with the radiator. the only problem i could think you might have with it is, its out of coolant, in which just top it up, if you dont have coolant, use some water, it will do till you get coolant.
Its either the choke being gay. ( Take it off completely, and try it)
The carbs not being adjusted to the correct settings. ( I have a cb125 and i need to do it constantly)
The fuel line is blocked by crap. ( have you ran the petrol tank down low, in the last few weeks?) If not, just hop onto ebay and buy like a 6mm fuel pipe hose and replace it.
If their is a fuel line filter from the tank, remove it. Might be starving the engine. My RS2 didnt like having a filter i popped one in it to help keep the engine clean etc. for when i wanted to sell it, and it choked a lot.
Is their a hole in your exhaust? (Other then the big one at the end thats supposed to be there, and the smaller one at the front were its supposed to be there.)
A hole in your exhaust will lead to a loss in backpressure and your little 50 will choke on its own farts.
Your carbs may be blocked further from you cleaning them, might of dislodged some sealer.
Or the gaskets may be damaged.
All else fails..... back up plan:
TOP HER UP WITH CASTROL TWO STROKE. £12 a bottle, do a full oil change. pop in a brand new irdium NGK spark plug, do a spark test, unplug the NGK lead ( should be at the top of the 50 engine, underneithe the petrol tank) and pop a long screwdriver in the lead cap were it touches the coil. put the screwdriver shaft near the frame ( about 2 millimeters away) and see if the spark is a strong blue electric jump.
( i know people dont like them, but the fact they are the most expensive spark plugs means, you know they are good and wont be crap sparks)
Redex. (£10) ( only put a little bit in your tank about 10 millilitres.
this will clear out your engine completely. Now be wary, when you take it for a test ride youll have a MASSIVE boost in power. So just be careful
( it wont be massive, i just used that word so you notice, it will probably jump about 10mph very very quickly then burn out)
So if the home fixes dont work. £30. will. ____________________ 2004 Rieju Rs2 Matrix 50cc, 1982 Honda CG125, 1986 Honda Cm125, 1982 Honda Cb125..... I kill a lot of 125's |
