If you can post the picture, someone should be able to tell you what they're called.

Once you know what they're called, your best bet would be to call david silver spares, if they can't get them, you're going to struggle.

The 10mm sealing washers?

Honda Part number: 90403ML4610 at position 19 on the diagram you linked to?

David silvers have one in stock ready for dispatch. You'd need to give them a call to see if they could get another one in: https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/parts/by-part-number/partnumber_12724/

A google for the part numbershows they are also used on the rocker cover of the VT1100. Lings Honda shows a lead time of 3 days @ £3.98 each.

Since it's used on a 1997 bike, I'd expect any honda dealers to be able to get them in if you just ask for the part number. From previous experience, it's probably best to just ask for the part number. If you mention it's for an old superdream they'll just suck their teeth and claim the part is no longer available without even looking.

Those diagrams show a single bolt (variously numbered 11, 13, 15, 16, 17 and 18) each with a rubber sealing washer on them (each of which is labelled 19) and no other parts.

If there is a rubber bit on the bolt besides the sealing washer, it is an integral part of the bolt and not a seperate part. You'd need to buy new bolts.

no its not any of those parts we have come down to the conclusion that the engine is not a 79 model but an 81 and it is part of the bolt.

the only rubber seals on the Superdream that are anywhere near those bolts are the ones that sit on the outer rear bolts that feed oil to the topend.
Ive got mine in bits at the moment and can only see 2 rubber seals and they are between the barrels and the cylinder head on the rear outer bolts

sorry matey theres nowt like that on mine and never has been.

I cant understand why there would be rubber seals on those bolts cos they go into blind holes in the crankcases so theres nothing to seal.

Hi, are they not part of the bolt? Because the manual says "Bolt with rubber seal-2 off"

If your model came with em they should already be there.

Had same problem this weekend. After much searching it would appear they are a mod from engine 2200**** onwards. You have to buy the head bolt complete with rubber? sleeve on just above the threaded part of the bolt. Some sites list as not available and some at £12.50 each and I expect plus vat and p and p. Not to impressed at over £50 for the 4.
So I decided to clean the studs up on the wire wheel and fit some very heavy duty heat shrink /wrap that I had courtesy of the electric board. Bit of a fiddle getting back down the tubes / hole in head and barrel as you need a close fit..anyway now done 20 miles and lots of ticking over and no leaks. Hope this helps.................cheers
