in the past iv just bled it as you have then started the bike, let it idle but manually 'opened' the oil pump lever with your finger so the pump is working full chat but the engine is still at idle, if alls well then withing a second or two you will have oil in the pipe at the carb/cylinder,
if it doesnt look like its going to bleed thru quick then drain the fuel tank and mix up a litre or so of pre-mix (petrol/oil) and idle the bike with that so you dont bugger it up |

The engine needs to be running to pump the oil through. If you are overly concerned then just put a small amount (literally a couple of drops) directly in the engine through the spark plug hole.
Disconnect the pipe from the carb and you will see the oil slowly ooze, remember the bike doesn't use much at all. ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

I pre-mixed the mito 350 using a temporary tank, then just swapped back once it was bled through. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. thanks for your help guys, from looking at "spare" oil pumps on ebay i see there is a white cog that i can relate from reading your posts spins up when the bike it ticking over and pumps the oil through and i understand the drill method now would it be wise to fill half a tank of pre mix then let the oil pump do its thing and re attach when the oil is pumping out as normal, i think someone has posted something similar but im half asleep with sore eyes |
