my bike will only really run well with half choke all the time. the carb has been off recently, so im assuming i havent reset the mixture screw properly.

looking at haynes, it says just screw it in/out, but there seems no way to do this with the carb on the engine, cant get a screw driver in

i have a kinlon 125, and looks like a slide carb

are there any tricks

Which carb is it? pics?
is the mixture screw not on the bottom of the carb, facing towards the ground?
adjust using something like this https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DRAPER-2-PIECE-PLAIN-SLOT-PZ-ANGLED-SCREWDRIVER-SET-/250628979303?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3a5aa6ba67#ht_1014wt_905
cheers,

It shouldn't need much force to move. I just use a screwdriver bit from a bit set and turn it with that.

I know nothing about your bike, but first check that you put it back on correctly, mainly no air leaks.

Assuming thats fine then I'd do as Robby suggested.

ah an airleak, that would make sense. i will have a look. will the wd-40/carb cleaner trick (squirting some at the manifold) work on a bike?

Yup, that'll do it.

If you have one of the Mikuni / Den(h)i 26mm carbs with the choke lever on the carb itself, are you definitely flipping it down to turn it off? I only ask because after saying that upwards of a dozen times to other people, I forgot it myself after doing some work on my 125 and couldn't understand why it wouldn't idle with the choke "off". Embarassed

Screw out to richen, if you are sure there are no air leaks etc.
