This is a 2 month old battery as well, bought it for the cm200 fully charged it and put it in.... However now it seems to be reasonably flat!
Bought a new charger as the old one died, charged it over night and shes moved from about 8volts to 8.8 volts! Acid levels are proper and topped up as well, don't wana have to chuck a brand new battery |

8.8 volts , it's a 12 volt system on them isn't it ?. Your battery is well and truly shagged there's a few knackered cells in it for that low a reading. Shouldn't be knackered after 2 months if your bike is charging right, it's not unknown for new ones to fail. Check it's charging right first, put a multimeter on 0-20v DC across the battery terminals with the engine running and you should see around 14 volts or so when you rev it. If you don't you've got a charging problem, if it's OK the battery was knackered and should be exchanged. ____________________ I used to be indecisive but now I'm not quite so sure. |

Most battery companies give a warranty. Take it back and see! ____________________ TheShaggyDA: I've got 3 or 4 pairs that predate my wife, so at least 11.5 years old. |

Sounds to me like a charging problem if its killed 2 batteries in a short space of time.
As already mentioned, get it running and measure the voltage at the battery throughout the rev range.
