Battery not charging

This is a 2 month old battery as well, bought it for the cm200 fully charged it and put it in.... However now it seems to be reasonably flat!

Bought a new charger as the old one died, charged it over night and shes moved from about 8volts to 8.8 volts! Acid levels are proper and topped up as well, don't wana have to chuck a brand new battery Crying or Very sad

, it's a 12 volt system on them isn't it ?. Your battery is well and truly shagged there's a few knackered cells in it for that low a reading. Shouldn't be knackered after 2 months if your bike is charging right, it's not unknown for new ones to fail. Check it's charging right first, put a multimeter on 0-20v DC across the battery terminals with the engine running and you should see around 14 volts or so when you rev it. If you don't you've got a charging problem, if it's OK the battery was knackered and should be exchanged.

Half the problem is now I can't start the bike with said battery, Must try and get a spare or something else to try and start the bike, then I'l know it's definitely the battery! Don't have the receipt for it anymore though.... Bugger!

Jump or bump the bike? If after a good ride it's still low then it's the battery that's no good.

The bike itself doesn't run very well, cuts out at high revs etc so its the battery that is now holding me back from working on it, may wheel it round somewhere to try and bump start it if I can

Sounds to me like a charging problem if its killed 2 batteries in a short space of time.

As already mentioned, get it running and measure the voltage at the battery throughout the rev range.
