Its not caliper paint i use Plastikote paint, the stuff in the little pots.
The red stuff is very good and is almost brushless when dry, seems to last for aggges and is about £4 and will do about 20 calipers
i think its enamel based, so may take abit to shift it off ____________________ <insert><something><useful>Here</useful></something></insert> |

Hmm. If its not brake specific temperature resistant then it may still struggle!
If youve used it before then fair enough.
If youve got the calipers off and to be bled again.. might aswell pop the pistons out and give them a clean up and coat the seals in red rubber grease |

Take the M/C and hoses off as one.
Lay rags down away from bike, I have an old washing up bowl for that. Take pads out and pump pistons out. Just crack banjo in the bowl...if it pisses out you can use it and a wire brush to get rid of that paint.
Then strip, clean, I found that coca cola bottle caps fitted in my supra calipers when I thought about painting them. Could see if you can fll the gaps for the pistons and then spray the things |

If you can raise the caliper and keep the end of the hose above the master cyl, then you will only leak fluid out of the caliper. Remember to cover and end the end so it does not absord moisture/crap.
But if you are repainting the calipers, you might as well flush the whole system and put fresh fluid in. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
