I have a furygan 2 peice waterproof suit i got from ebay, but because of the waterproof seal thing, it completely melts me in hot weather my leathers are alot cooler to wear.

Im just looking for ideas of gear to wear that wont melt me even hood jeans with a decent breathable jacket if anyone could recomend it would be great thanks

Try a joe rocket mesh jacket for the top half - but I found most of the time in the UK they were a bit TOO cold! I usually wore mine with hood jeans (the draggin jeans were a bit cooler, actually, but hood are better quality I reckon).

Otherwise, plenty of textile jackets come with vents around the jacket, which can make the situation a lot better.

If your pockets are deep enough I can recommend Gore-Tex textiles for being more breathable and cooler than I expected.

I recently got a Tricky IV suit from Hein Gericke because I kept getting soaked in my leather jacket/Hood jeans combo. In the two weeks I’ve had the suit I’ve ridden in some epic rain (4 times now) and stayed completely dry. I was comfortably cool in 22 degrees and strong sun, although that was moving on the bike with all the suit vents open. It was warm enough riding home after the BCF BBQ at 2am when it was about 8 or 9 degrees, and that was without the thermal lining.

Oh actually, on a one piece suit - if you can find one second hand or stretch to the new prices, I can definitely recommend the Road crafter.
You can get the whole thing on/off (zipped up ready to go) in under a minute. It's got a decent number of vents to keep you call and is decently waterproof.

Another vote for the Hein Gericke Tricky Goretex suit. Had one 2 years now and it's perfect. Cool and breathable in summer with the insulation layer out and 100% waterproof. Quite pricey though. I think I paid around £350 for it.

the tricky is a bit over budget 280 for the jacket alone, anyone got any other ideas for a jacket around sub 200?

Another HG one I considered was the Nexus. Another Gore-Tex jacket so should be fair quality, but under £200.

It has got some day glow bits on it, but seemed quite a nice jacket.

P.S. I am not an HG salesman, just been there recently.

When looking at HG definitely do AVOID the 'adventure' style jacket thingy.
I've got the goretex one and it's irksome - it's the liner that's waterproof, so if it's a warm wet day, you're out of luck.
It still, as with everything, does get wet through eventually, but as it's the liner that's waterproof, more water seems to get through quicker.

I have triumph raptor trousers and they're by far the coolest I've had; they have mesh panels. They're also have a long enough leg for me which is a bonus Smile

For my upper half I don't have too much trouble with my trusty old Frank Thomas XT jacket if I take out the liner. My friend has the XTi which has a number of removable layers and his is even better.
