If your pockets are deep enough I can recommend Gore-Tex textiles for being more breathable and cooler than I expected.
I recently got a Tricky IV suit from Hein Gericke because I kept getting soaked in my leather jacket/Hood jeans combo. In the two weeks I’ve had the suit I’ve ridden in some epic rain (4 times now) and stayed completely dry. I was comfortably cool in 22 degrees and strong sun, although that was moving on the bike with all the suit vents open. It was warm enough riding home after the BCF BBQ at 2am when it was about 8 or 9 degrees, and that was without the thermal lining. ____________________ 2007 CBF1000 & 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

Another HG one I considered was the Nexus. Another Gore-Tex jacket so should be fair quality, but under £200.
It has got some day glow bits on it, but seemed quite a nice jacket.
P.S. I am not an HG salesman, just been there recently. ____________________ 2007 CBF1000 & 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

I have triumph raptor trousers and they're by far the coolest I've had; they have mesh panels. They're also have a long enough leg for me which is a bonus
For my upper half I don't have too much trouble with my trusty old Frank Thomas XT jacket if I take out the liner. My friend has the XTi which has a number of removable layers and his is even better. ____________________ Riding: BMW R1150RT `02 bought mildly crashed
