Depends on the cause.

If its down to using the wrong oil (Castrol Magnatec) then you change the oil for anything but magnatec.

If its down to adjustment, you adjust it. Most likely needed on the adjuster at the engine end.

If the clutch is worn out, you replace the plates.

Hi

Depends why it is occuring.

Could be the plates worn, meaning they need replacing. Could be the cable sticking. Could be the cable adjustment. Could be the pushrod getting covered in rubbish (on things like Bandits where the clutch pushrod goes from under the sprocket cover). Could be the wrong oil, or a dodgy oil additive. Could be a worn clutch basket, with notches preventing the plates settling into position easily.

All the best

Keith

If it has a hydraulic clutch the slave cylinders piston can corrode so it will not return and cause the clutch slip, much like brake pistons.
