Depends why it is occuring.
Could be the plates worn, meaning they need replacing. Could be the cable sticking. Could be the cable adjustment. Could be the pushrod getting covered in rubbish (on things like Bandits where the clutch pushrod goes from under the sprocket cover). Could be the wrong oil, or a dodgy oil additive. Could be a worn clutch basket, with notches preventing the plates settling into position easily.
