I just use a toothbrush against the chain while revving it in fifth, gets all the surface shlt off, then spray away. Chains last a long time on YBR provided you don't try to wheelie it everywhere ____________________ ♥ YZF-R6 '05 ♥

Centre stand and leave the bike off..
Clean the chain with a degreaser.
Then if you want to start the bike up and use a toothbrush to add old engine oil/chain lube/spray can stuff to the chain.
You can do this with the engine off if you wanted to... depends how big your balls are |

Best to avoid running the engine to move the chain. You'd miss those finger tips if you had an accident.
If you don't have a center stand or paddock stand - roll the bike forward a foot to get to the bits of chain out of sight on the front sprocket.
I bought a second hand scottoiler from ebay which i fill with engine oil. Keeps the chain lubed really well - as long as you can live with the fling on the back wheel/number plate. Not everyone likes chain oilers though.
Oh, and if you haven't already - buy some Swarfega. |
