Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has good or bad experiences of GEM Motoring Assist. Currently with RAC, can't really fault the service except now I've had it for a year, I'm no longer a new customer and therefore must pay a lot more than last year. Rolling Eyes

Thanks!

Chriss

Not for me, the AA don't cover "accidents". And falling over and breaking your brake lever would count as an accident if the driver is a jobsworth.

Been with Gem for about 8 years now and haven't got a bad word to say about them. Not had to use them for quite a few years touch wood but used them a lot for the first 4 years. No probs being towed a few hundred miles, several times. Just paid by credit card and received full amount back within a week. Thumbs Up

Been with GEM for the past 3 years but haven't had to use them. My parents on the other hand have had to call them out twice and both times they have been absolutly excellent. They are quick to come out and even text you with an ETA from the recovery guy.

It usually costs £82 for me for a top end policy + you get someone living in the same house covered free. It also covers any of your vehicles including motorbikes.

If you go through www.topcashback.com then you can save an extra £15 odd a year.

In my line of work I run into recovery agents all the time, RAC and AA are the worst and charge their members a fortune for accident recovery, but with GEM it's included.

Another Thumbs up for GEM from me.
Have been a member for a few years and haven't a bad word to say about them.

RAC on the other hand wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!!

Cheers Tim.
