Following on from this thread:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=31064

and this one:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=30821

This is a first aid course for people who are first on the scene of a motorcycle accident. It is being run by the St. Johns Ambulance.

On this date (27th Nov) the course is at the branch in York St, Marylebone, W1

The course cost is £20+VAT (23.50) (this is a discounted price as the course is still in the pilot stage).

The times are 10am until 3pm.

To book ring 020 7258 3456 and speak to the training department, giving them your details and a card number. Note because this is a pilot course, not all operators may be immediately aware of it.

No idea about the number of places still available.

People from the forum that I'm aware have booked so far:

katana
rhino
myself (tgabber)

So, if you're in or around London and not doing anything important on the 27th, join in and learn the things that might just save someone's life. Thumbs Up

(Check for other course dates and locations by calling the national number 08700 104950)

(edited to take account of rescheduling)

Friend Street, Islington. That's close to Angel tube, virtually opposite Sadlers' Wells theatre. Here's a map:

Am very interested and will go but won't be able to know if I can go until about a week or two before hand.

Does it get you any form of recognised medical qualification, like the first aid at work ones do, just interested as it is another thing which can be put on peoples CV's.

So, anybody else signed up for this yet?

If I'm going to learn how to save your life it would be nice if a few of you learned how to save mine. Smile

I'd like to go on one at a later date, unfortunately the two offered I already have a 'prior engagement' for. Hopefully they'll do some more dates. Thumbs Up

Got a letter with the rescheduled date for this course this morning:

Saturday 27th November and they've moved it to their centre in York St, Marylebone, W1

Booking details still as given in the first post of this thread.

(see https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=32806 if you want to know why it had to be rescheduled)
