The fact they 'chose' a XT660 shows they don't really know anything about bikes; as it's a heavy slow bike that is far from being a 'super'moto.
Wonder what else they are ignorant of?

Depends what KTM, but most aren't bad.
The DRZ isn't a good bike, either, 'average' at best; underpowered/slow and heavy for a supermoto, but ok for a 33hp style town commuter.

Oh and the XT is listed at a similar weight to my GSXR1000 - but probably about a quarter of the power.
If you want your moto to be super, at least make it properly light weight to make up for the low power (My 690 manages to make 50% more power from a single cylinder, yet weigh less still, despite having fairly reasonable service intervals.)
A proper competition based supermoto would weigh even less still with similar power.
