Hi guys.

I dismantled the carb and cleaned everything, reassembing it and fitted it back to the bike.

When i kick the bike over it fires into life but goes straight for the redline instantly. Now it's definately not the throttle cable. What else could this be?

I am confident I put everything back where it should go.

Thanks for any help.

Oh yeah it's not the idle set too high. I've already tried that.

Thanks again.

Have you made sure the slide is seated properly? If its sat too high it'll rev it's knackers off

I think it's likely this is the problem. I removed the top and replaced it but it is still doing the same thing. I am going to give it another go.

Turn the carb slide around. On an RXS 100 it can fit one of 2 ways.

On the bottom of the slide should be a cutaway or wedge shaped cut out. This should face the airbox.Something like this
