I gave up biking for 15 years. Managed to get back on a bike no probs.
Its like... well riding a bike. ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master

You'll be fine, just go out when it's quiet to begin with to get your confidence back. ____________________ My Flickr |

Thanks for your views. Ok, will just take it steady
Just need to identify a suitable steed now. Latest thinking is Hornet but am concerned about the tank range - I will be commuting 90 miles a day. ____________________ Previous steeds: VFR800, CBR600F & ZX9R

Sounds like my own story.
Had a break of about eight years myself.
Then got back into bikes as I needed to commute
through the traffic.
Bought an ER500 and had it for 5 years.
Totally bullet proof, cheap and reliable, would
recommend as a commuter tool
Don't commute any more, ride more for
pleasure now so bought a bandit 600.
Wouldn't be without it now ____________________ Current Bike: 2004 Suzuki Bandit 600S

What can you expect?
Well... the number of people trying to kill you has tripled and the roads are in terrible condition.
Other than that you will be fine |

ER5 - I find them far too small for my liking
Hornet - am looking at the more recent models (2010) but still find the idea of a 17l tank annoying. Some of us like a larger tank between the legs
I have pretty much made up my mind - think I will go for a CB1300 and hustle the couriers on that!
Just need to save up some cash now....... ____________________ Previous steeds: VFR800, CBR600F & ZX9R
