So here goes without trying to bore you.

Renewed with MCE (Underwritten By Aviva/NU) - 13th Aug - £193.31
Found a cheaper price (E-Bike) - £183.47
E Bike is even better beause I told them about my mods.
Phoned MCE, will cost me £33.70 to declare mods or £47 to cancel insurance, this is all within my 14 days (which is until saturday). So thoughts please, I'd much rather cancel and get the cheaper price with E but it will cost more in the long run?

Are they styling mods or performance mods? I only ask because my last insurers (underwritten by Aviva) said they were only interested in declaration if the mods enhanced the performance of the bike. It might be worth a call to your current insurers and see if adding the mods would make any difference to their charge.

considering its off road atm, no. they will do when i get everything sorted or the 50 is just going back in.

Why are you bothered with docs then...and if you insure with then it will still say its a 50cc anyway, regardless of whatever mod you tell them has been done.

Engine capacity change will more than likely change your insurance group, not what they have down for your motor.

Price to stay with MCE = 193.3+33.7 = £227

Price to leave and go with Ebike = 183.5+47 = £230.50


You will pay £3.50 more to go with Ebike.
