it doesnt need to be slipping for a while for it to do that, think about it, its 2 metal surfaces rubbing together and at say 5k rpm (6k redline on ybr, from memory 5k rpm in top is about 50mph) there rubbing together at extremely high speed.
Ybr have very small clutches even compared to other 125's they have small clutches.
They suffer in particullar from dirty oil? the clutch has its own oil strainer (behind the clutch casing just below and to the right of the clutch basket), no this isnt there for the engine...its there for the clutch , this should be removed and cleaned every 12k miles or so... if u dont you actually restrict the oils ability to drain away from the clutch plates over lubing them causing more slip- more slip more heat- more heat... faster pwned clutch plates.
As for the notches, thats fairly normal tbh, the clucth basket itself is cast from pretty poor grade metal and with alot of miles they start to wear.
Honestly its just wear and tear mate, try not to worry about it ____________________ Bikes owned :- 2001 nsr125, 1999 zx6r, 2006 yzf-r1, 2009 xmax 250, 2012 yzf-r1, 2015 MT-07
