I'll keep this brief. I do not know how to cook anything beyond a bacon and egg sandwich.
However, being the infallible boyfriend I am, I have decided I want to cook the missus a nice meal before she goes off to Uni for her first year and before I go for my second.
Easy, no.
Problems.
She's a vegetarian. (Not through morals, she just doesn't like the taste)
She doesn't like fish.
She already eats a sh!t load of pasta, she practically lives off the stuff.
I want to cook something different.
Ideas?
If all else fails I shall just take her out to dinner. ____________________ "Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing."

I know you said she doesn't like the taste of meat in itself (cue a dirty joke) but does she like substitutes, such as Quorn etc? That could open up possibilities, and it does taste much different to meat anyway, though people try to claim it doesn't. You could then make her some good substitue, like a pie, or bolognese etc.
I find this site a boon for quick and easy desserts. Slap the headphones on and get cooking.

I've lived with two vegetarians. Eventually, they both 1) ate a bacon sandwich which 2) gave them the strength to decide that they'd been living in denial and were actually gayers.
Hypothesis, confirmation. Your "missus" is going to get more tongue than an anteater's convention.
Ahem.
Echo the "stir fry ftw". Most of it is prep, and a basic sweet and sour / hot and sour / sweet and spicy / sweet lemon etc sauce is dead easy to make. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Definitely like the noodle option, we love chinese. Maybe some spice or sweet and sour.
I think I could bare the vegetables for one meal. ____________________ "Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing."

I can choke down tofu with the right sauce.
A basic "sweet and..." sauce is dead simple. Dissolve some sugar - quite a lot of sugar, to be honest - in near boiling water then add your choice of the following:
Tomato puree; rice wine vinegar; powdered ginger; soy sauce; chilli powder or cayenne pepper; shredded lemon or orange rind, plus juice.
Then get some cornflour, add a dash of cold water to it, mix to a paste and stir in while bringing briefly to the boil. Add gradually until you've got the desired constituency.
Pour over veggies and proper food stir fried in hot oil - add some sesame oil, maybe some ginger for bonus points - chuck in cooked noodles or serve with sticky rice, receive blowjob appreciation from the missus. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

^^^Where's the fun in that?
During those 1st few times when i've cooked a special meal for the lady i've resorted to asking family. Once when i was 17 i wanted to make an impression but had the kitchen skills of a maggot. I was told to make macaroni cheese and cauliflower.....the bastards.
Do you know what happens an hour after macaroni and cauliflower....I'll let your imagination finish off my evening. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud
