With the pictures I have seen of IRIS chains, likely cost would be a new set of crankcases .
A kit from B&C seems to be just under £100.
All the best

Thanks
You wouldn't recommend an IRIS chain then? lol
I have been quoted £150 for the set with free delivery and thought it seemed a bit steep, i'm new to actually buying bike stuff to sort myself so definitely keeping my eye out for the p*ss takers ____________________ 1995 Suzuki GSX600F rider |

I would suggest keeping away from Regina chains as well.
For longevity I recommend a D.I.D. chain with decent sprockets like those from https://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/
The last few times that I have fitted new chain and sprockets for people I have used a Renthal front and a https://www.supersprox.com/uk/ rear with the DID chain. This rear sprocket has the lightness of the Renthal alloy rear with the longevity of a steel.Saying that I have had an alloy rear Renthal on my R1 for over 18,000 miles and shows little or no wear. ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?

Again, stay clear of iris. A friend snapped an iris chain on a 50cc ffs .
I wouldn't expect a DID chain and sprockets to cost more than around £100.

DID are good and a lot of OEM use them as standard fit.
Sometimes just a cheap to find a decent bike shop who don't charge the erf. And have them do it. No need for chain spliters and all that shite then.
By the time you pay for a proper spliter the garage labour and your hassle to do it will be saved.
But if you fancy having a go, Just do it. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |
