you wont damaged the frame, snapping the lock, just twist the bars hard enough it will snap, steering locks are only to deter the lazy bike tea leaf. ____________________ 2nd time around CBT: 8/9/11

Okay... Steering lock first...
If a quick twist of the bars doesn't do it, providing you have access to a basic workshop you could make a 'universal key'...
Basically a thin strip of strong steel just small enough to push into the lock with a 'T' piece welded on the other end of it.
Knock it as far into the lock as you can and twist it sharply clockwise. This should unlock it (may take a couple of goes).
Or you could try drilling through the barrel (down the keyhole) and use a screwdriver to turn it.
To remove the security bolts, a hammer & strong screwdriver are your friends (or using a dremel or similar, cut a slot into the head of each bolt and use a screwdriver to undo them).
Before anyone asks... I'm not (and have never been) a car/bike thief!
I lost a set of keys for my first car...and learnt from that
Incidentally, I found the keys a week later :/ ____________________ Aprilia Classic 125, GS500E, ER5-A1, ER5-C4, ER6 & an XJ6 project frame... |

You cut your frame...
Take the petrol tank off, simple on the RS... that reduces a chance of mass flames... also block off the fuel pipe to carb. |

Use some tweezers to turn the lock in undo direction while at same time using a bit of wire or small key etc to rake over the pins inside the lock. keep the tension on the lock all the time (turning tweezers).
This may, if you are lucky unlock it but not very likely. Once you've had enough, stick a beefy flat blade screwdriver in the keyhole (keeping tension on) and give it a damn good twist.
Screwdrivers with the hex for a spanner on are good ones for doing it with.
We used to do this when doing a repo on cars we couldn't get keys for and didn't have time to piss about doing it properly ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse?
