I think something is not set right with my carb. When on the side stand the bike revs up to about 4k from idle but when it is upright is it fine. It will also leak petrol if left on the side stand not running. I'm crap with carbs most of my bikes are FI, would this be something to do with the float height?

Sorry if this makes you sound dumb, but on side stand, is the handle bar turned also. If so tight cable/not correctly run.

On the stand and leaking fuel. If you can find where its leaking from exactly, could be float bowl gasket/o ring has perished slightly. But the bowl should stop filling, so would assume float isnt actually operating properly and closing it off.

It's not the throttle cable it isn't instant either, there is about 5-10 seconds lag then it starts over reving you pick it up and in about 5-10 seconds it goes back to normal.

TBH if it wasn't leaking I would probably leave it, it aids the warm up. Unfortunately as the leak is gradual I haven't been able to trace it.

It did set the float height up when I cleaned the carb, maybe it got knocked or needs it set lower.

Nemo had an MOT fail where the fuel was leaking.

The seal around the float bowl had perished and it was also leaking out of the drain hole.

Those are the 2 places i'd look at.

Both fine I replaced the gasket and copper washer on those when I cleaned it, it only leaks on the side stand making me think it is an overflow or something.

Not familiar with an RXS100 as the last time I saw one in the metal was probably 18 years ago but I assume you can turn the fuel tap to off to stop it initially filling the float bowl continuously.

Now, I am going by what I have had to do with my TZR250 to fix the same issue and i assume an RXS100 carb is pretty similar in function. I would check the carbs needle valve that sits under the float tab. Possible that either the needle valve assembly or little O ring it pushes in with has broken down and is allowing fuel to pass into the float bowl and then out of the overflow.
