Morning guys,

Trying to do the valve clearances on my ZZR250,

the manual I've got is for the GPX250, bugger all difference.

It says there should be a T1 and a T2 on the flywheel, so when you've lined T1 up, piston 1 is at TDC, fair enough...

...My flywheel only has an F and a T?!

And they're next to each other..?

I'm confused. Any help appreciated guys. I'm guessing the T still does correspond with a piston being at TDC but what the hell do I do to get the other piston at the top?

If you`re looking for TDC, cant you put a rod/gauge through the plug hole and turn the fly-wheel?

It might not be the best method, but it`s one I`ve used many times to find TDC.
you just need to make sure it`s on the correct stroke ie ignition and not exhaust Embarassed Thumbs Up

This? If you take the spark plug out, can you see down the whole to the other?

If you poke something like a straw down there and crank it round until the straw rises.

It may be that the T is tbc for both pistons, but on alternate strokes, as one goes up, the other is down, but crank it round a whole turn and one goes down the other goes up... This is just speculation mind, never worked on a zzr250 engine.
