Get an MX bike for winter Laughing I'd seriously consider a DR350 for winter, look hard enough to deal with crap Thumbs Up Supermoto for the nice wet/sunny days

however, I dont think those sort of bikes would be any good on Motorway for trip into work each day.

Why have one for the winter?

Quite probably make you more likely to crash I'd have thought - still as heavy as a sports bike, but a bit higher up so you can't get your feet so firmly on the ground.

Lower geared so the tyres are exerting more force.

DR350 would at least let you get trail tyres on, which will help in the snow, though quite possibly be worse the rest of the time.
But a motocross bike may not be such a good choice with their hard hitting power delivery.
