I enjoy riding the sweeping bends when out in the country on a weekend blast... but I also enjoy a certain feeling of achievement when filtering around the city too.
But given the choice, my leisure time would be spent riding the country roads ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

Country for fun, although city riding doesn't really bother me.
Country riding's easier IMO. It's easier to account for surface changes than it is for what the moron next to you is about to do. ____________________ My Flickr |

I do love country riding - but I'd love it a lot more if I could be definite that there was no on-coming traffic around that blind corner/over that bridge
I've never ridden in a city (yet), but I do get this great satisfaction from filtering. So much so that when the bike failed its MOT, and I had to catch the bus, I took the following day off college because I hated being stuck in rush hour traffic just that much
But personally I have have the best of both worlds Take the country lanes to the town that college is in, then filter through the traffic when there ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |

So far it has got to be city for me only because going 50mph on some of the country roads I know is too dangerous with my level of riding.. however the A53 is nice. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

Living in the countryside means that i really have no choice. i can ride through towns but that's pretty boring IMO unless you're on a small 125.
With a bigger more powerful bike, you've got to get it out somewhere you shouldn't have to sit at traffic lights every 2 minutes.

Countryside gets my vote for most situations, although I'm perfectly happy in London on my daily commute. It beats any other form of transport into the city.
Another good point to remember about city riding is late nights/very early mornings. A city devoid of all traffic can make for some highly entertaining progress. ____________________ 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |
