Anyone have any problems or solutions for this, my ' garage ' is just where the old toilet used to be, brick building. double glazed small window, wooden bifold door with 2 inch gap est top and bottom, brick floor. |

Just make sure it's mouse proof - from personal experience, an old MX lid that hasn't been used for a while seems like a wonderful place for a mouse to build a lovely, cosy nest.

Sounds great, if you're looking forward to moldy gear.
I used to keep a bike, tools and stuff in a similar building, believe me it's not worth it! ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

Mice is number one problem, but damp is the killer so if it has mice and its is damp you might as well throw it all in the bin. ____________________ there is nothing like the smell of 2stroke in the morning

What if i carpet it and tackle the mice problem, i really don't have the space.
Perhaps i should kick the dogs out of under the stairs

You've got a border terrier - use it for the purpose for which it was intended.......killing!
(Just make sure there's no hedgehogs in the vicinity)

Kick your rats out from under the stairs
I keep my gear under there. Put the boots on the floor and have two hanger bracket things. One for my helmet (with gloves in) and then one to hang my jacket up.
I just put my kevlar jeans in my room in my cupboard ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |

oK, MY BROTHER HAS HIS BIKE GEAR IN HIS METAL SHED,CAPS some of it open some of it under suit covers ?
Should i advise him to move his stuff, or should i just buy some suit covers ?
I ask, caus if mine would be alright with suit covers, the great, or if not i should tell him, as his stuff costs a lot !

Suit covers won't cut it, you need the stuff in something that is airtight and watertight.
As Howling Terror said, vaccuum storage bags are probably your best option. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

Cool, maybe for you, a couple of those breathable suit covers will do the trick, for the more expensive items like your ' best ' stuff.
I think the wardrobe as the first barrier will do the trick, btw 20 quid delivered, and thats for the 24 hour delivery ... 17 otherwise.
