hi there everyone ive just joined the forum as i was interested in showing a few photos of my lovely old tzr 125 that ive been restoring and i think this would be the perfect place to get information and chat with other enthusiasts about old two strokes and as i have also seen a few other tzr s on here to.Up to this point ive spent just over a year on every little detail,it was originally a rusty, dirty, oily wreck that i bought for 280 quid,i started on stripping the frame bare, rebuilding the engine in the house, wife loved it; and basically cleaning, polishing and painting everything to make it mint and replacing things that are worn or beyond repair,im well chuffed with it up to now and im probably a third away from finishing it. I'm just trying to figure out how to change the size of my photos to 1mg so I can put them on cheers

ill tell you what tzr,s are great little bikes,i used to have one when i was seventeen for i think three or four years and i had the most fun on that and i could just hammer it all day long and it would just keep pulling,of course with the power valve turned to wide open with a spanner, jetted and a k and n filter and i modified my original exhaust to fit a tz 250 carbon can as i was a wagon mechanic at the time so could do these things easerly and it was a perfect job looked and sounded awsome when kept in the power,it would do a ton no myther,i did 550 mile one weekend on it and was so much fun, eventually it did seize only because a cir clip came off the piston and scored everything up but i just rebored and new piston and was away again, they just dont make them like this any more with character and loverly two stroke so when i was after getting another eleven years later i wasn't bothered if it was a nail because i could put some passion in to it and take my time and i think thats how you have to be to do a good job,my next bike was an aprilia rs 250 that was beautiful but was just to fast for where i live which is very twisty and i just couldn't have the same fun,any way thanks for great comments im glad you like it so far |

thanks for comments.......that colour sounds nice fumps. and yes corf if i need some decals ill give you a shout ive been thinking along the lines of the fortuna colours like what were on diajero katos grandprix bike,a redy orange flourescent and silver im gonna be rubbing every thing down shortly and spraying everything with a little compressor and sprayer i bought its gonna look sweet but i think next job will be getting exhaust on its an original and is like new it came of another that had only done 6000 mile, cant wait to get running for the first time .
does any one no the best fuel jet size to run and plug, my power valve will be pegged open, its having a cone power filter and original exhaust i think standard jet is a 180 and plug br9es,cheers. |

I no what you are saying about the cone power filters the bike will be loud and spluttery any where below seven thousand revs as my tzr years ago used to be but i love that strange as it sounds and i love the loud induction noise and when the power comes in it sounded like a little racing bike clean and crisp, mint;so i got a brand new loverly little filter months ago so when i fit it it ill just have to make sure everything is set up right.
I think you should do a real job on yours bomberman these brilliant little bikes deserve it. |
