Hi my nsr recently failed its MOT, mainly due to the rear shock needing to be replaced. it's from 1997 and after looking round a bit on the internet i found this and wondered if it would fit my bike?

That states it is for a 92/93 FN. So I presume that means the unfaired model. I owned a FL which was made in 1990 and know first hand that the shocks are not a simple swap, the eyelet on the top was different and the suspension linkages are not the same.

However by 1992/1993 this may have changed as the FL seemed to have quite a few unique parts. You need to get the dimensions of the shock that is advertised.

It is always worth giving david silver spares a call if you need honda parts.

knowing that english people (sorry) are not very often precise on the year of their bikes , look serial number . if it begins by HI-xxxx year is 1989-1992 and by ZDCJC22 it's 1993-2001 (foxeye)
faired or unfaired doesnt change anything but the 2 models cannot be exchange
here is a pict of a foxeye , you can see the adjustable spring compression

it's a 1997 foxeye model. on the website it says the part is for 92-93, does this mean it won't fit then?
