I'd be amazed if a reg/reg from any CG/YBR/EN copybike won't work a treat.
What's led you to believe that the reg/rec is shagged? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Walks into Honda Dealer, idea in head that its a CG125 copy engine...
Cust: "Can I have a Honda CG125 regulator for my Skyjet, please?!
Ast: "Hang on I'll just have to check with the manager?"
Cust:" Did he say it would do?"
Ast:"He says they normally retail for £29.99, but he reckons since its Christmas we can do a straight swap for your bike." ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

OK mike, here we have an example of why chinese bikes are 'shit', and I can re-hash old Skoda jokes about them.
What pepperami was trying to TELL you, is that your bike uses a generic Honda copy engine; and will have generic honda generator AND regulator.
Skyjet dont give a shit, becouse they flog cut price bikes to know nothing newbies; who, when they go wrong, say "HOW MUCH!" when they ask for £45 for a part like a regulator, and make a lot of hassle for very little profit when there is a queue of know nothing newbies waiting to havd over big chunks of money for whole bikes,
The main motorbike shops ALSO dont give a shit about chinese generic branded bikes. Owners walk in and start asking for stuff that's not in thier catalogues, that is hard for them to track down, and buiy in, and costs a lot, comparitively, to the owner of a cut price chinese bike... and STILL has little profit in it for them for the hassle.
Big spares emporiums; LIKEWISE stake it high and sell it cheap, and if the wholesalers catalogue lists an oil filter for a Suzuki GN125, then they can flog it dead easy for little effort.
Chinese bikes, that have a different name on them every week, or which have a differnet blend of parts depending on what was to hand when that batch was buit are hard work, and if they lift parts for them, will do so by description, not my model, becouse they cant know every possible permutation of model the bits might fit.
Which means...
If you buy a Chinese branded bike..... you need to knwo both bike mechanics AND get clued up as to how to get the bits and where from.....
You cant walk into a dealer and ask for a regulator by make, model and year, like you could for a Honda or a Suzuki or whatever.
This is the price you pay later for the saving up front.
NOW:- your bike has a generator; that makes electricity and wires will take it to a little box; usually with a big metal, finned heat sink around it, that rectifies the varing voltage made at the generator to a stable Direct voltage that will charge your 12v battery and power your 12v lights and indicators and stuff.
Regulatro/Rectifiers, are not particulkarly clever bits of kit. Basically they contain a lot of diodes; four arranged in a bridge circuit will convert AC voltage to DC, so they will have a number of them, one probably for each generator input winding, which is usually two or three. They then have a system to 'clip' any voltage over about 14.5v, usually a zenner diode.
12v regulator/rectifiers all do the same job, only differences between one for a Honda C50 and one for a Honda Goldwing is going to be the number of inputs; the voltage they regulate to, and the power capacity they can handle.
If you know your electronics you can make one to suit almost any bike for a few quidfs worth of components.
However; a lot cheaper and easier to buy one; especially for a chinese bike, where a generic reg/rect unit is likely to be less than £20, compared to the £50+ I would pay for a genuin OEM Honda part.
You just need to know what to buy; or take a chance, and at £20, even if you had to buy two, strill cheaper than Honda... so stop your moaning!
Now; go take the regulator rectifier off your bike. IF you REALLY need us to spoon feed you, take some photo's of it and put them up on thread, and I am sure one of the resident Chinky bike experts will tell you what type it is, and possibly link you to suitable part on e-bay...
BUT, we are on the end of a key-board. If you want some-one to do it ALL for you take the fecker to a mechanic.
If you want us to help you, help us, help you; and take heed of what wisdom is offered and if you dont understand say so, and ask, dont throw a strip and shout foul, no fair, I CANT FIND IT!
No, you wont. And I have explained why.
Its now in your court. You have been told it will be a three or a five wire rectifier.... you should have asked "Whats that, and how can I tell".... so over to you. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
