Got my Suzuki TS50x yesterday, 51' reg, 195 pounds with tax and test for a year, 5k miles on the clock, and a pretty fresh respray, the picture doesnt do it justice.

I bought one of those brand new in 1985 for £575! Loved it. Had the TS125X in 1987, paid for from the compensation of crashing the former!

I had one of these as a first bike. Let me down so many times but that was mainly because I was always messing around with the engine lol.

Good little bikes in all honesty mine was bulletproof until I big bore it etc.

I'm sure I had a 'Stinger' (stand to be corrected) on mine, it was alloy oval and was so much lighter than the stock one. Also re-jetted the carb and had a K&N for it. Still didn't go any quicker, it just bogged out at about 36mph.

I loved it though, had it from August til December 1985 until it was written off in an accident.

Great little bikes.

You got an amazing bargain there !! Low milage as well !

My mate had one - was fitted with the 80cc big bore kit which was a great (if unreliable) upgrade. Would overtake my 65cc kitted DT50 and give 50mph+ (on the speedo).

Bore kits seem to be the way forward with these! im not entirely sure if its standard, ive never ridden a ts50 before, but my one seems to hammer my friends gy125, and my other friends wr125x to about 45, and then they come flying past, is there any way to fit a larger carb after a bore kit?

The TS80 had a Mikuni VM20SS carb as standard. Would say a larger carb would be the way to go for more power, especially with a big-bore kit fitted. Seen a few people fitting 19mm Dellorto's etc.

The 70cc kits are still readily available (about £80)
