Thanks chaps
I only ride the bike for fun as I use the car for commuting so i'll be out at those speeds for at least one hour!
Might look at getting some muffs then
Always thought they looked a bit silly and heated grips never keep my fingers warm (more the palm), plus my summer Richa gloves are ace, they're waterproof and super comfy, I've had them about a year and they still don't smell one bit bad.
Any muffs to look out for? Noticed some attach to the bars and some are like oven mitts! Don't really want to have to attach anything to the bike if poss as it's stored outside, rather just have something I can whip out |

I have the Spada's too which I used for CBT and a few lessons. I'm with the sweaty side of opinion.
On a side note, I bought mine from ghostbikes and seen you state £30, to which I thought "hmmm i'm sure mine were more" (£35) so checked e-mail and ghostbikes have sent me an e-mail today which has discount codes on:

We recently bought some Richa Neon gloves for £20 a pair
I'd say the impact protection is minimal, but they've proved to be waterproof in some horrendous weather recently.
I find them to be a very comfortable glove for commuting ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

Thanks everyone, I have heated grips already but have disconnected them as the first time I used them my main fuse blew which left me stranded, and my last bike it killed the battery (even though they were always turned off when the bike wasn't running) so I have a pretty bad experience with them.
All the muffs look like they need fixing to the bike so this puts me off also
What are those thermal inner gloves like what you can get? |

First bike was wired like this but it still drained the battery.
Current bike had them already, rode for about 6 months without using them, turned them on one day and the whole bike cut out, REC blew as well as main fuse and it just seems odd it was the first time I had used them. Scarred for life now lol |

No-one mentioned the lobster gloves?
Best gloves I have ever bought, prob get them cheaper than the website shown below.
I've been using these since about August, 5 days a week, all weather. My hands are still not cold enough to make me want to put on the tucano urbano hand muffs which are still sitting in my house new.
So....I'd recommend them all the way. When it's cold enough I'll use my summer gloves and the tucano urbano muffs.

I bought a pair of the lobster claw type gloves after Ariel Badger recommended them. Found em in the bargain bucket in my local bike shop, £8.75...
They are easily the warmest gloves I have used, and keep my fingers cosy at motorway speeds for a good 40mins...

Tech-7 Otto II
https://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=239313&kw=tech-7+otto+ii
£20 delivered
I tried some enforcers and hated them, way to big.
the tech-7 have a polythene layer between the lining and outer that keeps all the heat in and wind/rain out.
My hands are on the verge of being to hot with these on, plus they also have the visor wipe on them.
The protection isnt brilliant but winter gloves never seem to have the protection of summer/race gloves.
For £20 you cant beat them, they're also ride mag best buys. ____________________ GPZ500 sold ~ CBR600FS-2 sold ~ ZX6R sold ~ Street Triple R |
