Is it worth forking out a fiver on a massive syringe to do it that way or is it really definite that if you bleed it the conventional way you will get the optimum performance? The only reason why you wouldn't being a component, not the bleeding procedure?

Out of interest, anyone used the big syringes?

never used a syringe, i have a proper vacuum bleed kit tho, cost me about £60 and does the job very quickly. has multiple uses.
I don't understand your last question, component?
The conventional method is good enough as long as you do it properly.

sorry mate, i still don't understand your question.
You can strip the brakes down to there component parts, rebuild and use whatever method you want.

reverse bleeding was the only way to bleed the brakes on the thundercat effectively. traditional methods were taking ages as i created an air lock in it. it's also quite hard to use the traditional method with one person. reverse bleeding is very easy with one person. i'd go for it

I always reverse bleed so much quicker! Just have a really full syringe and do it in one shot

I've heard and read lots about this reverse bleed technique, but only ever used the conventional method on my cars and bikes.
Never had a problem, so I've never felt the need to change (If it ain't broke, don't fix it, etc)

Might be curious enough to have a go at some point and see if there's any noticeable difference... Thumbs Up

Great to get the ball rolling after a full strip down on the brakes. Ive a 100ml syringe for each caliper and couldnt live without them Cool

Always bleed normally after the "traditional" way to finish the job too

Yeah that was the plan.

Hell, I'm going to do it, cheers guys!

It says one use only but surely if I do both at the same time, then wash it out quickly with water to neutralise it, it should be fine, right?

Oh sorry I wasnt clear, only one at a time but believe me when I say having one per caliper will save you effort. Youll need to get some fish tank airline tube to connect them and its a very tight fit so swapping them can be annoying going back and forth Very Happy

Happy bleeding Smile
