I cant see the detail in the switch circuit very well. Theres two options here....

1. A paint diagram showing where all the wires that you have are going.

2. Read your note again and put it into that configuration:

Quote:
From L to R; RED, BLACK & BLUE, (2 wires), Earth, Brown

You have the red in already and the brown. That leaves 2 terminals free yeah? One of the is obviously the earth. So that then leaves you with 1 terminal and 2 wires. One black from the fan and one blue from the switch. Your note says L to R - red, BLACK AND BLUE (two wires), earth, brown. You need to put the blue and black togther according to that and you should be away! Wink

I accept no liability for any injury or harm caused in following these actions, but am I prepared to accept glory and praise should it work!

For future reference: take some pictures before taking stuff apart if you're not 100% sure of what you're doing.

240v cock-ups can be fatal or very burn-house-downy so a high degree of paranoia is advisable.

'Friad I can't help further than that; just hope it doesn't get too smokey when you try again (electricity runs on smoke - if you let the smoke out of the wires, it all stops working.....)

Are there 2 brown wires in the L2 terminal?

Looking at whats written above the terminal block is says from L to R

L1 N E L2

For a kick off that says to me that you should have the brown in L1, not the blue which should be a neutral. Just going from basic wiring principles the blue should be in the N, the live (brown) should be in L1.

Thats where I would start, do a trial like that and then we can look at the L2 issue!

Then go to page 111 of the PDF, it has the wiring diagram for your fan.... Thumbs Up

EDIT: In fact I've just attached it, hope it helps... all Dutch to me

Thanks Swamy, I saw that but as far as I can tell it only has the external wiring diagrams Sad

Page 9 has the external wiring diagrams.... you have the list of how the internal side was wired, so you just need to know how the fan is swtiched and find the right external diagram. Looks like the 3 wire ones don't use either L1 or L2 (assuming your is on pull cord, not L2 - so, brown to L1, blue to N, earth to earth, L2 (high speed AFAICS) not connected).
