Direct quote from MoneySaver website:
"Many of us have bought something only to later decide that it's unsuitable or unneeded. Yet shops are under no obligation to take your goods back, just because you've changed your mind, only when they're faulty.
The exceptions to this are when buying on the internet, mail order or financial agreements, when you do often have cancellation rights.
Yet even when you don't have rights plenty of companies do still give refunds. These are mainly high-street stores with returns policies allowing you to simply take back whatever you want within a set timeframe. You're less likely to be able to change your mind for a service contract that's started though.
These goodwill polices have encouraged more and more customers to expect this as a right, even though it doesn't always apply.
This doesn't mean you can't ask though. Shops would rather keep customers happy than be sticklers for these rules. They consider all customers to be potential clients who will use their services or buy their products again and again".
I'd be tempted to write to Head Office, and state there was nothing written on the packaging and the salesperson in the shop didn't have enough technical knowledge about said product...so you didn't know the correct lead was there or not...is there any possibility that you could exchange for the correct product?? Or get a full refund rather than the credit note.
My general rule of thumb is: you don't know unless you ask...! ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

So just how does this connect to a xbox then.
Sorry don't have one....
I would copy your email off, to the manufacture as well. Pointing out that, they should list using HDMI port, requires additonal purchase on the pack.
I would try going back again and asking to speak to the manager and point out that. You bought it in good faith, but that using the HDMI port, as the connection, means that you cannot use the item. And that you don't want to spend anymore cash on a headset.
Adding that the only way you found this out is by opening the pack to read the manual.
Something his/her staff should have advised you on when the item was purchased.
This is on the basis that the item is "Unfit for purpose" ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
