Buy stickers and do it that way. If you change the clocks everyone will think that it was done to hide the true mileage of the bike. Mileage converters also have the same issue.

Hi

Pretty much agree with the above. There are people around who can modify clocks to put on a better looking MPH dial.

You might be able to use the clocks from an FZR600, but in addition to the hassle mentioned above with losing the original mileage you might have problems with the speed restrictor on Japanese market bikes. Generally limited to 180kmh (112mph), these often use a sensor in the speedo, so the wiring might well not match up. Also on some bikes they really don't like it if the sensor for this is disconnected - the CBR250 will land up losing a LOT of its top speed although not sure if the FZR does.

All the best

Keith

On the 3tj speedo it sends a signal at start up and another when it reaches 112mph, if it doesn't receive the signal at start up it sets a rev limit at 12,500rpm so you can't simply unplug it, I'd go with the stickers like others have said.
Mines a 4dx model so I don't have that problem however when I removed my exup valve it didn't like it and put it into some kind of safety mode with an 8000rpm limit.

There are some UK Spec clocks but they will be so over priced it wont be worth it, just find the speedo converter on ebay, IIRC it fits at the base of the fork leg instead of the clocks like it did on my 3EN1.
