 |
|
Bought these heated grips on 17 December and fitted them about a week ago. I tested them and they worked, albeit the left grip was heating up a lot slower than the right grip. I thought it would just take longer to heat up, and not wanting to flatten my battery I disconnected them and fitted them. The next day when I went out on the bike, the right grip was warming my hand up nicely, but the left grip was only just slightly warm, so I couldn't even feel it through my gloves.
A few days ago I e-mailed Jsaccessories asking whether I would be eligble for a refund or replacement but they haven't e-mailed me back.
The grips have been cut back so they're not in their original condition. Would I still be eligble for a refund or replacement?
Thanks ____________________ "Pain is weakness leaving the body, and blood makes the grass grow faster...but I'll wear my gear anyway" |

Did you cut through the element on the LHS grip? ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

You bought them through eBay? Then kick off a dispute, that should be your first resort, no matter what the seller asks you to do. If you do anything else then you're liable to just be ignored, as you've found.
Don't go into too much detail, don't mention that you've cut them back, just describe the left grip as non-functional. And don't fret about it, it's their choice to carry joke-name brands, they have to expect a few of them to be "boomerang grips" (they keep coming back...) ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

why did you continue to cut them to fit if they weren't working properly anyway
I'd reply to the email with " I'm not an electronics expert, I don't know what the fault is, I want refund/replacement/sammich" or whatever.
