As you know I have been working on the carbs the last few days, managed clean them put them back together turn her on and ...
It starts chucking fuel from the carbs and rubbers that go into the engine.
Read online that this is to do with either the floats set at the wrong height or the needle (pin thingamajig) being pushed up too high causing too much gas and making them overflow.
Is there a way of sorting this without taking the carbs off, wanted get her on the road for this Tuesday/Monday 16th last last resort. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

No, its not the over-flow. Over flow is the nipple on the bottom of the float-bowl, that DID have over flow pipes attached to direct any weepage to under the engine.
If its a pipe on the side, of the left hand carb, behind the choke cable plate; it doesn't have a name; I think its an auxilliary breather vent to let air into the float bowl.
After rebuild these often weep for a while, before they stop leaking.
Your bike has no centre stand so is leaning to that side, which doesn't help.
Ought NOT weep; and means that your float needles aren't seating properly.
BUT; leave it for now; run the bike up, and see if it stops of it's own accord.
Letting the bike run will drain the fuel from the float bowls and get the float going up and down bedding the needles back in to find a nice 'seat', and THAT may be all it takes.
Just turn the fuel tap 'off' so it doesn't drain the tank when not running; and see whether it persists after maybe an hours running.
If so, then you have some crap still under the float needles, and will have to pull the float bowls and clean AGAIN! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

Ah thanks mike, why did I have a hinklin that it just wouldn't be that easy to fix them (slight tap). Decided try this method today managed to get the bike start, if only for a second with no flooding from below. However then conked out again.
Rang a local workshop to me asked for a quote told them what went wrong and the back story, the guy owning it is willing look over it for £50 not bad really that is with free pick up. Considering the wagely hour against the time it can take to get the carbs off.
Also the free lift will be getting me to university as well as he has to go that way anyway, saves the £30 pick up from the other location plus the fix on top. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

If fuel is pourng out of the float bowl breather and carb rubbers, mind that it hasn't filled any of the cylinders with petrol, or even done that and then leaked past the rings into the sump.
If you crank your bike with a cylinder even part-filled with fuel it can hydraulic and do some pretty hefty damage. I suggest pulling the plugs and giving it a good whizz over to clear the cylinders as a precaution. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
