What a bell end

Thought I would take my ZX9 out for a spin yesterday, spent a few hours bleading the brakes and giving it a good wash down, got my leathers on, rode to the end of the road and fell off Not exactly sure what happened, but I was waiting at the lights, they turned green. Next thing I know, i'm standing there scratching my balls wondeing why im standing up and my bike is 6 foot away on its side. I just cant beleive how much damaged was caused by such a small drop.

I never really got on with this bike from the day I bought it, not sure why, I dont think I'm a sports bike rider, should of stuck to the KTM, they crash much better

Not sure what to do with it now, I just want rid so I can get another enduro

did you dump the clutch pulling away or something :S
it cant have just fell straight over looks like it slid a fair bit ?
what the heck are them bars made of O.o ?
christ i crashed my suzuki at 30 last year (NEVER TRUST AVON AZAROs)
and all it had to show for it was a 1 inch crack and broken a wingmirror

Seems yesterday was a day for bike dropping

go back to the end of the road, look at the incline/camber of the road, is it steep? Probably didn't rev enough, cut out and due to difference in ground made the bike go down dead fast! Happened to me once, I didn't factor in the extra weight I had on my bike/back and it dropped like a bomb! Very minor damage though..

I still dont understand how you bent the handle like that!!!!

many will say repair it but i say

turn it in to a streetfighter
bar risers and renthals make the rideing position more comfy and you can go to town makeing the bike truely your own

if you do it tho remember it takes more than renthals and dominators (ugly as fuck imo) to make a good one

So im cutting my loses and want to claw as much money back as I can, I think I'll make the most back by breaking it, I want to get £1000 in parts to put towards another enduro

I don't want to turn this into a for sale thread, we can save that for PM, but in answer to your question, its very clean apart from the obvious, 19k on the clock, 9 months MOT, good tyres and consumables. I've had no problems with the gear box that I've read a bit about on line, I suspect thats due to it being in a nice standard condition and has had an easy life. The ones with gearbox problems seem to be the ones that have been ragged.
