Thought I would take my ZX9 out for a spin yesterday, spent a few hours bleading the brakes and giving it a good wash down, got my leathers on, rode to the end of the road and fell off Brick Wall Not exactly sure what happened, but I was waiting at the lights, they turned green. Next thing I know, i'm standing there scratching my balls wondeing why im standing up and my bike is 6 foot away on its side. I just cant beleive how much damaged was caused by such a small drop.

I never really got on with this bike from the day I bought it, not sure why, I dont think I'm a sports bike rider, should of stuck to the KTM, they crash much better Laughing

Not sure what to do with it now, I just want rid so I can get another enduro

go back to the end of the road, look at the incline/camber of the road, is it steep? Probably didn't rev enough, cut out and due to difference in ground made the bike go down dead fast! Happened to me once, I didn't factor in the extra weight I had on my bike/back and it dropped like a bomb! Very minor damage though..

I still dont understand how you bent the handle like that!!!! Shocked

Still, rearset, clip on and brake lever and it's good to go.

I did give it a fist full, so did slide a few meters.

A much as I would love to find something to blame. Tyres, jammed throtle, diesel or some run up an pushed me off. The sad fact is, it was the knobber perched on top that sent it down the road.

Just what do I do with it now?
Sell it as it is,
Fix clip on and peg and sell with scuffed fairing or
Break it for parts.

many will say repair it but i say

turn it in to a streetfighter Twisted Evil
bar risers and renthals make the rideing position more comfy and you can go to town makeing the bike truely your own Razz

if you do it tho remember it takes more than renthals and dominators (ugly as fuck imo) to make a good one Very Happy

Get second hand parts and replace the bits that are needed to ride it.

Then you should ride it. Cool

I know it will be an easy fix or even a fun project turning it into a fighter but my hearts not in it. I much prefer doing this

zzzzzzzz

Streetfighters are teh ghey and it's a lie that renthals make a bike more comfortable.

Fix it - it's a clean standard bike.

WAS a clean standard bike Rolling Eyes Embarassed

Where are you and what price would you be thinking of selling it for?

My l33t detective skillz say he is near Fareham. Close to the A32? Around the gosport, hants area.

I will give you £3.87 I found behind the sofa, an UNEATEN dog chew and a pack of skittles (minus the green ones I like them) for it.

Fluff you fisty! Embarassed

And I'm being serious about a price. I want a zx9. I was going to look for one in the spring when I've got some money spare, as I have to buy a car in the next couple of weeks. However, if the price is right and I know it's a good example under the scuffs, I could be tempted into a project.

I don't want to turn this into a for sale thread, we can save that for PM, but in answer to your question, its very clean apart from the obvious, 19k on the clock, 9 months MOT, good tyres and consumables. I've had no problems with the gear box that I've read a bit about on line, I suspect thats due to it being in a nice standard condition and has had an easy life. The ones with gearbox problems seem to be the ones that have been ragged.
Send me a PM if your interested.

EVERY C1 or C2 will have gearbox problems in it's life, it's part of the gearbox design.

Are you serious?

With that damage?

You're clearly looking for a reason to part with it, but this isn't it. Laughing
