Hi new to the forum and after some advice fixing my 99 hornet 600cc

The hornet has developed a cut out fault that has steddley got worse.
The symptoms are: power loss through out rev rang, starting difficultly but this could be due to lack of use. Fault occurs within 1/2 miles of riding.

Parts changed and checks done to date are as follows:
- Sparkplugs and HT leads replaced
- coil packs replaced
- crabs and jets checked and cleaned
- Fuel tap and diaphragm checked and cleaned
- visual check of fuel and air box pipes
- ignition pick up/pulse coil replaced

Hope someone can shed light on the problem... manythanks Ste.

Maybe a blocked fuel breather, try running the bike with the fuel cap open.

Yep this one. I've had the exact same symptoms, turned out the breather pipe was being squashed by the tank where some monkey had put it back on in a hurry.

Yes, I am that monkey.

And yes join the website, they appear a friendly enough bunch!
