What are they? For use only really up to like 50mph. Something Kevlar?

I am trying to get used to these, which are overkill given that my commute is only 2 miles and want something thin.

Ive been looking into gloves as well, make sure you get something armoured with protection around the knuckles etc, it may only be 2 miles, but if you come off what is the first thing that usually hits the ground?

The best feel money can buy? Or the best feel £50 can buy? My hein gericke mesh ones are pretty good, and were (IIRC) about £40. You wouldn't know you had my Dianese joust on, but they're £140.

If you actually mean what winter gloves, then give up now, any gain in 'feel' will be lost after about 2 minutes as your hands freeze anyway.

An unusually level headed answer there. Razz

This man speak the truth, I'm sure £10 is quite a lot when measured in skin grafts. Wink

https://www.zcustom.com/
https://www.zcustom.com/products/gloves_6105_SW.jpg
Z-Custom Leathers 'Deerskin', made to measure $98.... About £45, for plain black or white.
I have three pairs; I acquired my first back in 1991; and doing product evaluation they were half inched off my bludy desk by one of the Journo's from Bike Magazine... who then went and ruddy crashed in them, and gave them back.... but gave them a 'rave' gear rating; and the US maker's couldn't keep up with the demand; as they were about half the price of off the peg Dianeses and stuff of the time.
No fancy kevlar or carbon in them; just thick well tanned Doe-Skin, and good stitching; they offer superb 'feel', and pretty decent protection... and for the money they are damn good VFM, especially as they are made to measure... you can buy mail order, just send a scan of your hand!
They fit 'like a glove' and the doe skin is SO supple, you wouldn't believe.
I hate not having decent 'feel' and wont wear gloves unless I'm going far or its very cold; and will ride in these in winter; though they are a sport/summer glove; so they are the only gloves I have ever put on I actually WANT to wear as opposed to tolerating.

Looks great. Any chance you can post some decent photos if you have them to hand? The ones on the website are awful. Also it doesn't make it clear how you order a custom pair :s

Off the peg, it's always been alpinestars GP-Pros - and their gortex variant - the 365. Supportive and responsive!

If your commute is 2 minutes you should walk.

If feel is all out important, there is only one answer really; and not an expensive one either!

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1c/Disposable_gloves_09.JPG

You wouldn't use a leather condom, would you? Wink

However, as actually safety is probably fairly important, for road riding, might be worth looking out for some kangaroo hide ones, as these are supposed to be able to be thinner yet offer the same protection.

Why would someone want to feel a cock shaped thing better all day long?

Ok, 1 question: Are you gay?

For me the safest feeling, most confidence inspiring gloves I've used to date are my Alpinestars SP1's
