What bike is it? Mostly you can just put an old towel down and rest it upright on that. Maybe also take the front wheel off to counter the lean angle if necessary.

My description was a bit shoddy I added an image (ignore the sub frame and stand). Remove the plastic pointed to by the red arrow. Then there *should* be a flatish bit pointed to by the yellow arrow where you can balance it for a while.

That's assuming you don't have a centre stand of course:

To remove the one on the GSXR all I did was a few bricks stacked with plank of wood slid under it. Jacked up on the sump iwht a car jack and lowered onto the wood to keep rear off the floor.

Loosen the bolts before raising off the floor Thumbs Up

Dont paint the swing arm! You'll only have to do it again in a months time because it will be full of chips from stones etc. If you want it coloured then get it powder coated, the finish should last a long longer providing they do a decent job and for something the size of a swingarm it shouldn't cost you all that much.

already thought about powder coating but thought it was expensive but turns out its actually rather affordable, anyone on here a powdercoater or had work done and can give me an estimate on what it cost them?
