Does it ever get ridden?

Just wondering, Don't see the point of building a bike like that if you're only going to do 10 miles a year.

Was just about to say this.

The bike doesn't look ridden. Lovely as it is, it shouldn't be an ornament. Neutral

One of my major pet hates mate, Spending £1000's rebuilding/modifying a bike, only to have it put under a cover for the rest of it's life.

A bit like Craigs 400 he built, Then left it at the back of his garage.

Silly question but is that the rear shock res right above a toasty host 2 stroke engine? isnt the idea of a remote res so the oil gets kept alittle cooler?

Believe me, it took plenty of effort. If you'd seen the bike we started with, it made Declan's RVF look tidy. Taking a 22 year old two stroke that had been used and abused in Bangkok for most of that time and bringing it back from the brink is very satisfying but there are several hundred hours out into this bike.

Thought that I'd add my couple of pennies worth too.

Just to address a couple of things....the rear shock reservoir is in the standard NSR250SP position. Don't blame us (or Paul), blame Honda. However, it doesn't get hot anyway, so it's not an issue.

As for not getting ridden. I think that I've put as many "test" miles on it as Paul has Wink And when it went from the TYGA colours to the Playboy, I had to take it round the block a few times just to check that the....errrrrr......errrrrr......whatsits and thingies were all ok.

Sure, the bike's full of so-called 'bolt-on' bits, but seeing as I design them, and then make them, then they're not really simply 'bolt-on' bits as far as I'm concerned.

The front end for instance uses what were at the time, one off triples. Paul wanted the USD forks, and as the RVF forks work rather nicely on the NSR, so Paul's bike was the development base for making them. Not exactly bolt on items.

And although Paul scrapes the cash together to pay for it, he's fully aware that he's just the caretaker. It's my bike and as such it gets the love and attention to detail it deserves. I just let him look after it and ride it whenever the urge arises.

@chegg
Subtle mods? Sorry, we don't do subtle Very Happy

Anyway, I for one love this bike. It looks great in my humble opinion, but Paul's only played one of his aces........and I think he'll be playing the Joker soon Wink

Love the bike, been watching reading thread, and i get the impression people are a bit to quick to jump on the bandwagon of not riding and mods.

He wasn't given the chance to state what use it has had, and it must be common, for when a project is ' finished ' to take pics as mint as it is at that time.

And bolt on mods, are for many. like me, a way of making a bike your own.

So, LOVE the bike, hope it gets used and not crashed by your mate, who must be a close friend !

Thanks for caring and sharing Sick Cool Smile

nowt wrong with tarty aslong as its in good taste, which this is.

Not sure why his chicken strips offend you so much?, i'd be taking it steady if i rode it aswell. Would be gutting beyond belief to send that down the road Sick

WTF, what a funny bunch on this forum.

Can't find anything to complain about so they whine about the bike never ridden, open cheque book Question
So when they can’t lay into a bike and say it is a piece of shit they come from the other end of the scale and criticize it for being too nice Question

So when Ducati Moto GP team take photos of their 2011 model in the snow before they race, does that mean they are bunch of pussies because it has chicken strips and hasn’t been ridden yet?

Now i am being accused of not riding the bike to limit. WTF Question
