Do you or don't you?
Should you or shouldn't you?

FA and I just were just discussing it, so thought it would be an interesting topic! ____________________ www.cliqueycuntsmcc.co.uk

I red line my bikes all the time, though I have hit the limiter a few times since I got the GPZ. |

I do, but then again i ride a 50cc 2-stroke.
I only tend to red line it when changing gear, and sometimes in 6th, when you want to see how fast it can go. ____________________ ?It?s mercy, compassion, and forgiveness I lack?not rationality.? |

No reason why you shouldn't.. It's there to save damage from being done isn't it.
But.. if you're riding into the redline all the time.. get a bigger bike or change gear |

It really does depend on my mood whether I red line it, other times I change up about 4500RPM, thus achieving my dizzy heights of 75MPG . |

'Course
When the bike is fully warmed up. I do regular oil changes as well.
Tip: Use ear plugs, then it doesnt sound so "bad" for the engine . |

My bike does not have a tacho so there is no red line as such
there is however a rev limiter which is met every day
really for the most part I use feel and sound and think that to rev to the max all the time is not mechanically sympathetic whilst once in a while it is good to clear things out.
I have more experience of why to thrash an engine relating to variable valve operation car engines such as the 2.0dth as fitted to vectra's than bikes though ____________________ https://domharnessphotography.webs.com |

Max power starts to die off before its deep in the red so theres no real gain in doing it.
However there is times I accelerate that much I hit the limiter before I've realised whats going on. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

No point on the 660 single.
On the other bikes I am not averse to stuffing it right up there, IMO that is what it is there for (rev to here), I don't go beyond it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
