Well my NSR is a 2000 model and I've reached an indicated 107 (go me )
All I've done to it is,
1. Removed intake restrictor
2. Removed exhaust restrictor
3. Used fully synthetic oil (Mobil 1)
4. Changed pin and rings at 11000 miles
hope this helps ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

The right mainjet with Giannelli is 140. if you drive a long time with 135, your nsr might be cut stop. Sounds are really cool with Giannelli, it is a little better than Arrow or Jolly Moto. Polini is best, i think.
My nsr going 170 km/h with giannelli. Sprockets are 14/36 and model is silver/black -99. |

your nsr will never sound like a 4-stroke mate. Live with it ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

I changed to 140 mainjet. i think the bike is slover now. I only managed to push it up to 145km/t today. what should I do to make it faster?? Why does your NSR go faster than mine??? |

I changed to 140 mainjet after I fitted the Arrow-exhaustsystem, and the bike startet to use A LOT more to-stroke oil. So I changed back to 135 mainjet, and didn`t notise any loss of power. That were 4 months ago... Bike still working
(Gianelli suge jo driden. Det får NSRen til å hørre ut som en blod-trimmet TS... Arrow en jo bare best) |

I did see a race NSR for sale - ummmmm, it was properly race tuned - a track bike, but up for breaking - so theoretically i could have put the 130mph engine in my old (91) NSR.... HOWEVER, this was also bored out.... so ummm, whether it counts or not I don't really know!!
Ah, well, the joys of having a 400!!! ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!
