Hey,
Quick question regarding the sizing of helmets across a brands range. Basically, my head fits a Shark RSI size medium. However, can i now assume that all medium shark helmets will fit my head regardless of its design (s900, rsx, visionr etc)??? I ask because if people can validate that theory, i can bypass going to a shop and get some deals online as i like Shark.
So, does your head fit the same size branded helmet regardless of it's design?
Please note, i am not asking whether a size medium will fit me for all brands of helmet. (shoei, arai, shark etc) |

Oh, right, and trying to blackmail someone before you even have their money is a great way of building customer loyalty.
I'd go ahead and assume that every helmet manufacturer is just slapping their label on products coming out of a few Chinese sweatshops, and that they'll chop and change supplier at the drop of a lid, so I wouldn't even trust that sizing remains constant within the same model over the years.
On the other hand, the Distance Selling Regulations have no provision for sellers refusing to accept returns on safety grounds. They should, but they don't. I've never received anything in the post that even complies with the (strict) terms on supplying return information. Feel free to buy and return, you might have a struggle but you'll get your money back eventually. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Shark Helmets in my own experience have consistent sizing across their entire range probably because they are not like many helmet brands i.e. made in a plant in China with different decals for different brans. They are made in France. I have a lot of helmets because they regularly get stolen.
S800 -
RSR -
RSR2 Race,
RSR3.
The only iffy one was the S500 which maybe because it was heavier but didn't seem to sit on my head right, so I bought the RSR2 Race instead. Though the chin bar does not always sit the same distance away. On my S800 you could lick the chin bar. The RSR's you could almost feel it on your tach'. ____________________ "It's easy to attack and destroy an act of creation. It's a lot more difficult to perform one" |
