You can turn the pins with a screwdriver to adjust the distance between them - they're an eccentric cam type thing.

Give them a turn and see if you can make it fit.

are you removing the visor and flattening it down to fit the pinlock?
it should be a tightish fit even with the visor flat and some times the pinlock pins are made with offset slots in so you can turn them to make it a tighter fit.

as above Thumbs Up

unfortunately its another one of those great inventions where you need an IQ of 300!!! or in this case to be an octopus to hold down the visor and fit the insert ( or even better a decent set of instructions)

also once done its worth while just running around the pinlock seal with a clean soft cloth to make sure its sealed against the visor,

else if it rains etc it all still goes misty n yet inside,as mine did on the 1st attempt and as much use as a chocolate fire-guard Mr. Green

Hmm, Mines is fine in the rain.

The only thing I notice is when I took the breath guard out of my helmet (Just got in the way and I didn't like it) I get a build up of condensation blow the pinlock, but not behind/inside it

Thanks guys but I've tried all those. The pins don't seem to be offset, I've laid it flat still no luck. Even when I lay the pinlock flat in the visor you can actually see that it's too big' I can easily get the pinlock into the pins but since it's too big it bends outwards rather than against the visor. My only thought is that it's faulty.

Does it just pop back towards you even when you push it in as your letting the visor flex back into its natural position ?

Make sure the silicone beading around the edge of the pinlock is facing the visor, not in towards the helmet.

Make sure both pins are orientated so the slit in them is facing towards the middle of your visor, Bend your visor on the floor (Dont need to use too much pressure) and hold it with your knee, insert one side of the Pinlock and make sure its in secure, then bend it towards you in the middle and insert the other side, you should then press the pinlock against the visor and let the visor flex back out, it should want to stay pinned against the visor

Imark - the pinlock just comes away from the visor all the time.

Which is why you buy the Fog City Hyper Shield thing
https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=Fog%20City%20Hyper%20Shield&oe=utf-8&channel=suggest&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbo=u&tbm=shop&source=og&sa=N&tab=wf&ei=KwM_T5HrFIPa8QOKysSOCA

My Caberg has one, you peel the backing off, you fold it into a U shape, you stick onto visor, seal the edge of it down with your finger, job jobbed, hasn't misted up on me once in 2 years, it seems less hassle than the pinlock fitting as well, not sure what range they cover lid wise, but I think it is awesome.
Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

The silicone seal bead has to be tight on the visor or it will not work. It can easily be fitted this way:
Remove visor from hat.
1 Hold one side of the visor with left paw.
2 Push the side of the visor down and by using the elbow end of left arm to prevent the visor lifting up at t' other end. Spread it open flat-ish.
They are quite tuff so need a bit of oomf to open.
3 Clip one end of the insert into one of the pins.
4 Bend the insert to make a sort of S shape and tuck the other end into the other pin.
5 Allow the insert to resume it's normal shape flatted against the visor and 'importantly' align the insert for best fit in the visor before you remove the elbow-hand clamp.
6 Release your vice like grip on the visor and Vwah-Lahh you have fitted a pin-lock.
7 Check the bead has good contact around the pin-lock and stick the visor into the hat.

Btw try to only touch the sides of the pinlock or else you will see finger marks on the visor, just to make it more difficult.pinlocks tend to be a bit bigger than the visor so that is is tight, but anything over 5mm then the pinlock may be not the right fit.double check your helmet and visor against the pinlock on the pinlock website, racevisor website or hjc.
